Fineline Media Finance Supports Charity Avid Upgrade
Fineline Media Finance has supported the MAMA Youth Project (MYP) to enable the purchase of two Avid Media Composer Symphony edit suites, as the charity upgrades its equipment to HD.
Each year MYP recruits and trains 48 disadvantaged young people aged between 16-25 in a range of core production skills including research, camera work, lighting and sound operation, location-finding, editing and production paperwork.
Participants work together to produce six episodes of 'What’s Up', a magazine-style show that has recently moved from Pick TV (formerly Sky 3) to Sky 1.
The Avid Media Composer Symphony systems, including hardware and monitors, are part of the HD upgrade.
Bob Clarke, Founder and CEO, MAMA Youth Project, said: "We are committed to getting young people into employment and to bringing diversity to the media industry. The content that our trainees produce is outstanding, and gives them a substantial taste of real-world production that makes them excellent candidates for employers."
