Freefly Systems Draws MōVI M5 At NAB 2014

News Image
Freefly Systems gave away one of its MōVI™ M5s to Adam Smith, co-owner of Oklahoma-based video production company Smith Pixels, at this year's NAB Show in Las Vegas.

Mr Smith received the three-axis digital stabiliser at the Shutterstock-hosted Wednesday afternoon drawing. Stock-footage company Shutterstock also gave a series of in-booth seminars at its exhibit in the South Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The MōVI M5 is designed to capture stable footage on a variety of shooting platforms. It was designed for cameras including the Canon 5D, Nikon D800, Panasonic GH4 and the Blackmagic Designs Pocket Cinema Camera.
The draw took place at the end of an in-booth discussion about the MōVI and contributing stock footage to Shutterstock. Delivering the seminar were Freefly Systems president Tabb Firchau, and Daniel Hurst, a director of photography, long-time contributor of video clips to the Shutterstock library and a MōVI user himself.
The discussion was moderated by Shutterstock footage content producer, Derick Rhodes.
Winner Adam Smith and his brother Andrew undertake commercial production work as well as shooting independent features.
