Shure UK Promotes Kirsty Lamport
Shure Distribution UK (SDUK) has promoted Kirsty Lamport to UK Head of Marketing. Ms Lamport joined Shure Distribution in 2007 as Marketing Communications Manager, the function of which she retained when taking on her next title of Marketing Manager — Systems & Broadcast.
In that role, Ms Lamport played a role in the communication and delivery of the company’s new selective distribution structure, which heralded the restructuring of the sales function into three divisions: Music Retail, Pro Audio & Systems.
She will now take overall responsibility for the marketing needs of the company and its portfolio. Ms Lamport will also focus on managing the internal team to drive marketing programmes across each of the three sales divisions and assist with integration across the wider European market. Paul Crognale and Marc Henshall will continue as Marketing Manager — Retail and Pro Audio and Digital Marketing Executive respectively.
Peter James, SDUK Managing Director, commented: "Excellent collaboration between regional Shure Distribution centres has both secured the success of our new distribution strategy and achieved stunning results from European-wide marketing initiatives such as the recent Shure Call for Legends campaign.
"Kirsty will now build on these successes, using her proven ability to plan and align resources in the UK and coordinate them efficiently with our counterparts across the region. We have an excellent pool of marketing talent who I have no doubt will flourish under Kirsty’s leadership and excellent organisation skills. I can only congratulate her and look forward to her continued success."
Kirsty Lamport added: "I’m excited to be able to develop and drive the UK marketing team, and to be working more closely with Shure associates across Europe and the other manufacturers that we represent in the UK and Ireland to attain further outstanding results.
