Codex Collaborates With Developer Solectrix

Codex has announced a technology collaboration with high-end electronics solutions developer Solectrix Gmbh to deliver an ultra-compact, high-quality digital cinema camera and recording package.
Headquartered in London, Codex is the leading developer of RAW recording and media management systems for motion picture and television production.
Solectrix, which is based in Nuremburg, Germany, manufactures camera and measurement technologies for the medical, industrial, automotive, tele- and data-communications industries. The collaboration between the two companies will see the integration of Solectrix camera electronics with Codex recording and workflow technologies to create a new, compact, camera and recording package.
"There's a definite need in feature and broadcast production for small, high-quality witness/POV cameras," said Marc Dando, managing director of Codex. "We're delighted to collaborate with Solectrix to develop an all-in-one camera and recording solution."
