Video Europe Agrees Investment In Sony's HDC-2500

Video Europe has agreed a multi-million investment in Sony's HDC-2500 system cameras. The 40 channels of Sony's HDC-2500s will be used across Video Europe's dry hire, specialist projects and OB business.
This investment rounds off a year of continued expansion for Video Europe, as the company has just committed over £4m in Sony's latest camera technologies.
"In an asset intensive industry such as the media and broadcast rental sector it's absolutely essential to have access to the latest and most cutting edge equipment on the market.
"When Sony unveiled its PMW-F5 and PMW-F55 cameras last year we knew instantly that they would be one of the hottest products of 2013 and represented the leading-edge large sensor cameras on the market.
"We were quick to capitalise on the phenomenal popularity of the F Series, and are pleased to now be expanding our fleet even further with this investment in Sony's latest system cameras," commented Steve Green, Managing Director at Video Europe.
Mr Green continued: "2014's set to be quite a year for us and it's critical for our business that we have the most sought after and respected industry tools on our books. Our newly acquired Sony system cameras have already been integrated into our OB fleet in time for the action-packed schedule of UK live production events next year, and will also be used to support our continued investment in cross hire."
Dave Cheesman, North Region Sales Manager at Sony Professional commented: "It's part of the Sony ethos that we continually try to develop our customer partnerships as well as our technology in order to provide the very best in equipment, service and support for the long term - this latest sale of HD camera channels to Video Europe is a very good example of that philosophy in action.
"With their latest investment in our multi format HD system cameras they're setting themselves up perfectly to capitalise on a healthy live production market in 2014."
