Prize Winner Announced For 4th Annual Driven Creativity Competition

G-Technology has announced the grand prize winner of its 4th annual Driven Creativity competition.
The competition, which celebrates talent in short film, photography, animation, GoPro® active film and music, drew in more than 1,200 entries from across Europe.
The competition's overall winner is Stephen Murphy, who won the grand prize for his role as director of photography on the film Coward.
Entered into the Professional Short Film category, Coward tells a touching story of two Irish soldiers who leave their homes to fight in World War I. It balances the truth and the hardships they endure, while delivering a compelling cinematic approach to storytelling.
"The creative team behind Coward is thrilled to have been chosen as the winner of the Driven Creativity 2013 contest," said Cinematographer Stephen Murphy. "Our film represents over a year's work, with more than 100 technicians helping to bring it to the screen, so the recognition this award brings is truly satisfying. The €5,000 prize will be shared between me, our Director Dave Roddham and Producer Dave Komaroni. The G-Technology G-DOCK ev™ will house all of the digital assists belonging to the film, and the prize money will be invaluable in helping us with our next project - developing Coward into a full feature film."
Murphy collected high scores from each member of the judging panel, garnering unanimous praise for his work on Coward.
Nino Leitner, filmmaker and a G-Technology Driven Creativity judge, said: "Coward has incredible production values and is very, very well executed. It looks like a major Hollywood production."
