Osram Launches Silent LED Studio Spotlight

OSRAM launched its first ever silent and adjustable LED spotlight at this year's Prolight + Sound show.
The Kreios SL boasts a light output exceeding 3000 lumens, a high CRI (colour rendering index) of 95 and a broad dimming range of 5-100%.
"It is currently the most powerful LED spotlight available on the market and has been designed for a broad range of illumination applications where a zoom able light source is preferred; in particular, for background lighting of TV and studio recordings," a statement from the company said.
Kreios SL replaces standard 100W to 250W halogen spotlight solutions and can prove an economically sound alternative for event, TV and studio experts.
Its integrated cooling technology means it can run "almost silently" in studios, while its high light output can be controlled by connecting the light source to any existing dimmer circuit.
A supplied gel frame will accept common sized (9.5cm/3.75") colour, frost, diffusion and other filters. The beam angle can also be adapted to fit specific applications.
By rotating the position ring on the fixture body, the light beam scale changes from 40° to 120°. With a spot reflector, a narrow angle of 24° is also possible.
