Trilogy win contracts with two US TV stations

Trilogy Broadcast, providers of innovative and market leading intercom/talkback, signal monitoring and SPG equipment, have announced that they have delivered a Commander intercom system and Mercury IP communications system for KWTV in Oklahoma City and KOTV in Tulsa (part of the Griffin Television Group).
The 72-port Commander matrix links the main studios, newsroom, master control and weather center at the KWTV Oklahoma City site. The Mercury system - with a "Black Box 1" at each end of a T1 link - will provide the connection between the two locations (Oklahoma City and Tulsa). The Black Box 1 at Tulsa will also provide a network connection to a third party existing intercom within KOTV.
As Roger Stanwell, Managing Director of Trilogy Broadcast, UK confirmed, "Having recently launched Trilogy-BSE in the US, we are extremely pleased with our progress in such a short period.
“The interest in Mercury IP comms has been particularly strong in the US, with the contract in Oklahoma being significant in that trend, and we were also able to demonstrate clear advantages for our technology against existing US suppliers who also competed for the project.
“With dedicated staff and a strengthening dealer network in America, we are looking forward to increased business, and the rapid acceptance of IP technology in the broadcast market."
Trilogy Broadcast design and build product solutions to meet the needs of broadcasters and post-production facilities worldwide. The range includes Intercom/Intercom systems, Sync and Test Pulse Generators with changeover, and a range of multi-format monitoring solutions.
Whilst primarily focused on the needs of broadcasters, the equipment is increasingly used in theatres, defence applications, conference systems, etc. More information is available from www.trilogy-broadcast.co.uk
