Raycom Launches Base Station At NAB 2013

News Image
Raycom is launching the latest version of its full-duplex talkback base station at NAB 2013 in Las Vegas.
The RTB6211D introduces the Kenwood 'NEXEDGE®' radios to the broadcast industry. This gives the RTB6211D the ability to work just as happily in the digital domain as analogue. With Kenwood Nexedge handhelds, two channels can fit into a single 12.5kHz channel, doubling spectrum efficiency. In analogue mode it is compatible with all brands of radio.
Also new to the RTB6211D is the ability to operate as a dual TX or RX as well as full duplex and 'talk-thru' modes. Another feature is mixed mode, which combines zero latency, full spectrum analogue sound from the talkback base with noise cancelling digital transmission from the handsets.
Raycom MD Pyers Easton said: "I am very proud to herald the latest update to our popular workhorse base station. The latest new features are based on customer feedback and are made possible thanks to our partnership with JVC Kenwood. We have never had so much international interest in our base station before so NAB seemed the obvious place to launch this cutting edge product for the broadcast industry".
The base station will be on display at booth C2147 which Raycom is sharing with its partner Wisycom.
