SGL Appoints Technical Architect

Software Generation Ltd (SGL), a leading provider of content archive and storage management software for media and entertainment, has reinforced its commitment to the North American and Latin American markets with the appointment of Juan Valcarcel as Technical Architect.
Valcarcel will be responsible for executing and supporting customer installations in North and Latin America.
With extensive engineering and training experience in the broadcast sector, Valcarcel most recently held the position of Senior Field Engineer/Training Coordinator at Avid for six years.
Whilst there he worked on projects across South America, China (Hong Kong), Indonesia, Canada and the UK winning Avid Employee of the Year in 2008 (Sundance Broadcast Automation Division). His experience also includes creating documentation for internal and external training. Prior to this he held positions at Vidycom and City TV, both in Colombia.
