Curious Software develops gFx Pro for Mac OS X

Curious Software has announced the launch at NAB 2003 of its Curious gFx range of software for Apple's Mac OS X.
gFx is a powerful integrated paint, rotoscoping and compositing system, available in various configurations for video, HDTV and film.
Curious Software, which has bases in London and Santa Fe, is also announcing the development of gFx Pro – a configuration tailored specifically to deliver professional video painting, rotoscoping, matte creation and animation to the Final Cut Pro workflow – all with the intuitive ease-of-use that typifies Curious products.
"The introduction of extremely high performance Apple workstations allows us to develop a new generation of really powerful tools for film and video content creators," said Gareth Griffith, co-founder of Curious Software.
"We are delighted to be working with Apple to bring the power of Curious gFx to their professional users”.
"Apple's UNIX-based Mac OS X with Quartz Extreme and the G4 Velocity Engine make the Mac an incredibly powerful platform for the video and broadcast industry," said Ron Okamoto, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations. “Curious has done an incredible job bringing a powerful graphics application to Mac OS X solution. We are excited that they chose to make it available on the Mac first and help expand the production ecosystem that is growing around Final Cut Pro."
