Discreet extend lead in content creation market

Discreet, a division of Autodesk, is featuring its award-winning desktop visual effects and media mastering tools at the Discreet booth SL-1500 at the south hall of the Las Vegas Convention Centre.
On display will be combustion® 2.1, the unified vector paint, animation and 3D compositing software, and cleaner ™ XL, software for media mastering.
With the recent release and new price point of combustion 2.1 software, and the newly introduced cleaner XL software, Discreet continues to reach out to the growing Macintosh and Windows desktop content creation community and is executing its vision to empower ingenuity-for all creative environments and budgets.
"Broadcast news and information services including NBC, CNN and CBS have embraced our cleaner line of products to help deliver breaking news from around the globe," said Paul Lypaczewski, Discreet general manager and executive vice president, Autodesk, Inc. "Our technology lets journalists quickly and easily master their media so they can deliver the best possible user experience," he added.
Praised for its intuitive, artist-inspired interface and comprehensive toolsets- including tracking and keying technologies, colour correction, particles and rotoscoping tools, combustion software has received stellar industry recognition in addition to great customer adoption. Among its many awards, combustion recently won a 4.5 mouse rating from Macworld, a five-star rating from AV Video/Multimedia Producer, five-star rating from MacUser UK, the Freakin' Awesome award from MacAddict and a must buy rating from CreativeMac.com.
Discreet combustion and cleaner XL products are also being demonstrated at the following NAB partner booths: Microsoft booth SL-136; IBM Booth SU-7237; Hewlett-Packard SL-2917; Digital Voodoo SU-6627; BOXX Technologies SL-3832; AJA Video SL-536.
