PROVYS IBC 2012 Preview

At IBC2012, broadcast management specialist PROVYS is showing the latest developments and features of its systems on stand 2.B49, Amsterdam RAI. These not only include new features and modules, but also a completely new product.
PROVYS has grown its development programme as the needs of broadcasters have continued to expand and evolve. To date this has delivered three successful generations of the broadcast management system and introduced new capabilities such as Broadcast Planning, Rights Management, MAM (media asset management) and Archiving, Production Management, Airtime Sales, and more that are now shipped to our users.
At IBC2012 the new PROVYS.NET marks the arrival of the fourth generation of the PROVYS broadcast management products. PROVYS.NET is a new client platform that is designed to be user friendly while being open for changes and extensions, ready for seamless integration and full of new features and functions.
CEO Josef Vasica comments, “PROVYS.NET is a big step forward both for us and our clients. It is stunningly easy to use and integrates smoothly with the Windows environment. It has involved a total re-design of the PROVYS software so now we have a completely new and modern corporate application. It brings not only an unprecedented user comfort but also a future-proof technology.”
Also on show is PROVYS Media Layer, a new media workflow run-time component that offers unparalleled robustness for broadcasters’ departments such as digital archives, media libraries, programme planning, content sales, etc. Professionals who use the extensive choice of metadata available in PROVYS are now able to view the content and to be more in control of the media workflows.
There are many other developments that have recently become available to enhance workflows and add features for all our customers. These include VOD licensing and planning support, improved media preview facilities, new production project planning support, improved sales workflow, and management reporting and statistics.
This autumn PROVYS celebrates 15 years of business since its first successful roll out. Since then its growing number of broadcast customers and partners have benefited from continuing support. In the last 12 months PROVYS has successfully completed a number of installations and projects including RTVS in Slovenija, Digi channels in Romania, Panorama HD in Russia, Canal Sur in Spain, Sigma in Cyprus, and Slovak Radio in Slovakia. Now, with over 40 installations in operation, PROVYS reliability, robustness and long-term value are well proven.
All these new products will be on show at our IBC stand, 2.B49.
