With the latest installment of the Broadcast Video Expo just around the corner companies are getting ready to showcase their best products.
TSL Professional Products will display and demonstrate equipment that is used in broadcast installations worldwide including the AVM-T-MIX, the Tallyman Virtual Control Panel and the PsiMon.
Aimed at creative positions the AVM-T-MIX is a unique concept in audio management and monitoring in 2RU. Normally reserved for monitoring and measurement devices, this BBC-inspired product adds a dual level, 10-channel digitally assignable mixer and up to 64 audio inputs can be chosen simultaneously from SDI, AES and analogue sources.
As part of its move to MediaCityUK, Salford Quays, BBC Sport is standardising on the new AVM-T-MIX as the audio monitoring solution for TV Production which will help to streamline the workflow of flagship productions such as Football Focus, Final Score and Match of the Day.
Meanwhile the Tallyman Virtual Control Panel is designed to provide multi-router control, improved workflow, remote access and alarm monitoring. It is easily configured and expanded.
PsiMon is an SQL server-based, advanced power management system with a unique dashboard display providing comprehensive alarm, control and energy monitoring of all TSL's intelligent PDU products.
During the three –day event TSL will be located at stand H26.
Elsewhere, on stand L18, digital workflow specialists Emotion Systems will feature the Emotion File Finish (eFF) an audio normalisation and loudness compliance tool for media files.
eFF is simple, user-friendly software that delivers extremely accurate measurements against predetermined parameters; generates a detailed file error report and repairs files to meet established criteria. Despite complex compliance requirements, eFF claims to resolve loudness problems while remaining highly cost effective.
The Polecam Starter Pack (PSP) is set be the star of Polecam's offering at BVE in February.
The small pack with big ambitions – aimed at the digital SLR market – will be on show at the company's stand (B10) during the event.
Polecam’s Managing Director, Steffan Hewitt, and Polecam Owner-Operator Chris Taber will be on hand to demonstrate that good things come in small packages – the Starter Pack weighs just 15kg and comes in a specially-designed foam insert designed to drop straight into a Pelicase (model 1770).
Priced £6,000 the PSP is Polecam's response to the growing demand in the digital SLR sector and is compatible with the latest DSLR and lightweight video cameras.
Meanwhile a new tool designed for fast and easy operation in live control rooms, post-production rooms and news booths is set to be unveiled during the event.
Equipment suppliers for the industry, Preco, have announced that they will launch the Logitek ROC audio control console.
The ROC is a modular system with a low-profile control panel which can be placed directly onto an existing worksurface. Available in 6, 12, 18 and 24 fader configurations, the console is easily integrated into permanent or temporary studios. See Preco on stand E52.
BVE will be held at Earls Court 2, London, 14-16 February 2012.
