IBC launch for Datavision's Digital Video Juke Box

Datavision Telesystems, a new division of Datavision, will use IBC 2002 as the launch pad for its new Digital Video Juke Box.
The new product is designed to be an inexpensive MPEG server with dial-up computer access for scheduling and breakout capability to VCR for delivery of local content.
Datavision Telesystems specialises in the provision of low-cost, broadcast-quality solutions for small broadcasters with low budgets. The new Digital Video Juke Box features dial-up premium rate phone access to allow viewers to override the schedule by selecting their own choice of clips.
Also on display will be the Datavision DV Drive, an ultra portable digital video device that delivers DV direct-to-disk storage, in the field. The product allows users to capture digital video files from their DV camcorder to its hard drive via IEEE1394 FireWire without having to connect to any computer.
Founded in 1998, Datavision specialises in developing and supplying innovative products for the serious consumer and professional digital video markets. The Datavision range of products and services has expanded to include DV Capture cards and editing software solutions for camcorders; remote camera controllers; MPEG2 Playout systems; cams and decks for extreme sports; and a 3,500sq ft photographic and video production studio offering flexible hire and demonstration facilities.
