ITV Studios Concludes Raft Of Entertainment Format Deals Across Europe

ITV Studios Global Entertainment has announced a number of sales of ITV Studios’ formats across Europe. ITV's top performing formats which have been picked up for local production in new territories include Come Dine With Me in Lithuania and Latvia, Dancing On Ice in Greece and Four Weddings in Romania.
Nelonen Media (Finland), BTV (Lithuania), TV3 (Latvia) and IBA Channel 1 (Israel) have commissioned the award winning format Come Dine With Me. With these latest deals Come Dine With Me is now produced in 34 countries. The unscripted factual entertainment format follows amateur chefs competing against each other by hosting a dinner party for the other contestants. Each competitor then rates the host’s performance and the winner is rewarded with the ‘ultimate dinner part host’ title. The established format has been licensed by Gil Productions in Israel, who will produce the format locally, Big Adventure will produce the format in Lithuania, and Santa TV in Latvia. Nelonen and Fremantle have entered into a co-production to produce the format in Finland.
Antenna TV (Greece) has commissioned Dancing On Ice, taking the total number of productions for this hit international format to 14 territories. Dancing on Ice brings together famous faces, all with little or no skating experience, and puts them against each other in an exciting series mixing thrilling ice dance routines with gripping competition. Antenna TV has acquired 13 episodes for their winter schedule, and ENA will produce the format locally.
Pro TV, the leading TV station in Romania, has acquired the top performing entertainment format Four Weddings for their summer 2012 schedule. This takes the total number of productions for this award winning format to 17 territories. The programme follows four competing brides and their different nuptials. From proper traditionalists to budget brides to control freaks to pagan ceremonies, while one contestant is getting hitched, the other three guest brides have to pass judgment and secretly score each special day. The bride with the highest score at the end of each episode wins the ultimate prize a five star dream honeymoon. The format will be produced by Media Pro Entertainment, part of Central European Media Enterprise.
The deals for Dancing On Ice, Four Weddings and Come Dine With Me in Lithuania, Latvia and Israel were brokered by Jennifer Ebell, Senior Sales Executive, ITV Studios. The deal for Come Dine With Me in Finland was brokered by Jonas Linnader-Manfred, Director of International Sales, ITV Studios Nordic.
