ITV Studios And Vincent TV Partner On New Housing Reality Format

ITV Studios has announced a new development partnership with Vincent TV on a reality series titled Try Before You Buy, aimed at exploring how first-time buyers are navigating an increasingly unaffordable housing market.

The programme will see six first-time buyers move into a house that is priced at twice what any one of them could afford individually. Living together under the same roof, the contestants must decide who they are willing to team up with in order to outmanoeuvre the others and ultimately secure ownership of the property.

The format blends competition with social experimentation, asking participants to confront the realities of sharing not only a home but also a mortgage. Supported by real estate agents sourcing suitable properties and psychologists guiding the process, the buyers will face what producers describe as the biggest decision of their lives.
