Avid builds on success of pan-european tour

Avid Technology Europe Ltd, a subsidiary of Avid technology Inc, has revealed details of phase two of their pan-European tour “Experience Avid|naked”, which forms a key part of Avid’s European marketing strategy and replaces the company’s presence at IBC 2002.
To date, events have taken place in Berlin, Madrid, Milan, Paris, London and Athens with each event tailored to the needs of the local market. The second leg of the tour starts in Copenhagen during the week commencing 23 September 2002, immediately followed by events in Stockholm, Rome, Cologne and Amsterdam.
Potential visitors can register for each event via a dedicated web site www.avid.com/experience_naked. The site will enable them to view the event timetable and choose the relevant topics to create their own personal programme based on their areas of interest.
“The way that our customers have responded to the Experience Avid|naked tour is fantastic," commented Graham Sharp, vice president of European sales and operations. "We set out to provide a series of events that really add value and the feedback we’ve received is extremely positive.
"Making the decision not to attend IBC this year was not an easy one, or the easy option. Although the tour has been very successful so far, we’re not complacent. We are now looking at ways to build on the success of phase one, enhance the programme content and prepare ourselves for phase two.” (CL)
