Avid Technology reveals tour dates

Avid Technology Europe Ltd have announced details of their pan-European tour which runs from May to October 2002.
The tour, entitled 'Experience Avid|naked', will form a key part of Avid’s European marketing strategy. The events will be tailored to the needs of each local market, focusing on what is of real value to customers.
Content will include sessions from how to maximise workflow to increasing ROI, examples of how customers are using the latest technology, discussions around major industry issues such as HD, plus information on Avid’s latest product developments and plans for the future will also be included.
“We chose the ‘Experience Avid|naked’ theme to reflect our no-nonsense communication strategy” said Graham Sharp, Vice President of European Sales and Operations.
‘Experience Avid|naked’ is based around a conference format and will run in each country for two or three days depending on local requirements. Each event will be made up of sessions specifically developed to focus on the broadcast, post-production and new media markets.
There will be three kinds of sessions: panel discussions on industry topics incorporating views from customers around Europe; technical seminars covering topics such as standards for interchange and streaming; and Avid In Practice focusing on real-life installations and how they operate.
“The conference format is designed to be entirely flexible, allowing visitors to tailor their visit by selecting the sessions that interest them, effectively creating their own experience,” said Mr Sharp.
The first event will take place in Berlin, Germany, on Tuesday 14 May followed by events in Spain, Italy, France, UK, Denmark, Holland, Sweden and the forthcoming EMEA event.
Potential visitors will be able to register for each event via a dedicated web site, www.avid.com/experience naked
The site will enable people to view the event programme and choose the relevant topics.
