Crestron Utilises D-Tools System Integrator Software To Design Crestron Experience Centres

D-Tools, a leading provider of system integration software, has announced that Crestron, a leading provider of advanced home, campus and building control automation utilised D-Tools' award-winning System Integrator software for system design as part of their multi-million dollar interactive Design & Technology Experience Centre, located at the Crestron world headquarters in Rockleigh, NJ. The Crestron Experience Centre provides a fully interactive experience for architects, designers and integrators, to demonstrate the latest in automation technology and meet with Crestron executives and team members.
D-Tools System Integrator 5.5 was used to create detailed system designs for the fully functional, state-of-the-art rooms which demonstrate how the latest automation and audio video technology looks, sounds and functions in a real-world environment. Detailed drawings were created to help communicate to the integrators and installers off the multi-room systems the precise location of the various systems to be installed, all of the components to be used, signal flow, rack contents and wiring detail.
System designs created in SI5.5 included Plan views, Elevations, Line diagrams and Schematics, which show the actual connections between the components and enabled the creation of installation reports for the Crestron team to reference as the systems were designed and installed throughout the centre.
Vincent Bruno, Director of Marketing for Crestron, said: "The Crestron Experience Centre is not your typical showroom - it is a complete, immersive, real-world application of the highest quality audio/video and automation technology available today. Complete and detailed documentation was required for us to be able to execute on our master plan for this facility, and D-Tools helped our teams create the detailed drawings and documentation we needed to deliver an un-rivalled multimedia experience that brings today's technology to life."
Since it's opening in October 2009, the Crestron Experience Centre has been a destination point for Crestron business partners, system integrators and potential clients. As one of the highlights of any tour of the Crestron campus, the Centre shows the dedication and passion of the over 400 employees that are delivering next generation products to the market.
Adam Stone, President and Founder of D-Tools, said: "We have a long-standing partnership with Crestron and they are an active participant towards our goal of providing the most up-to-date and complete product data to our software user community. We are pleased that our solution has also helped Crestron to deliver a world-class experience to the industry through the Crestron Experience Centre, and we look forward to working together to help the industry move forward with next generation collaborative solutions."
