Outside Broadcast Giant Relocates
One of Europe's largest outside broadcast (OB) and uplink suppliers, SIS LIVE, has moved into a new expanded facility in the heart of Paris to serve broadcast and media customers throughout France.
The facility, located close to the Eiffel Tower, complements SIS LIVE’s Outside Broadcast and satellite up-linking capabilities and provides the latest studio and connectivity infrastructure.
SIS LIVE Paris now offers a studio and play-out facility, with a stand-up position that has the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop. The facility also features the latest satellite and fibre connections, with the ability to provide live play-out and full back-office activities.
Managing director of SIS LIVE David Meynell, commented: "We are continuing to make a significant investment in our infrastructure in France to serve French and international clients who need guaranteed, secure communications throughout the country and overseas.
"We continue to invest in our French operation. Our Fleet of uplinks and the new offices are facilities we are really proud of."
European commercial director of SIS LIVE Jean-Louis Cleret, stated: "SIS LIVE has had an office in France for 11 years and this investment is part of our on-going commitment to increase our presence.
"We now offer High Definition OB services in Paris and our new facility allows us to provide expanded services including live studio play-out."
SIS LIVE is one of the world's leading companies in the television broadcasting industry. It is the foremost supplier of television programming and data services to the UK and Ireland betting industry.
The company employs a total of 19 people in Paris and has several significant clients, including France Télévisions, which it supplies with facilities for its news operations in Paris and for the coverage of international sport events such as the 6 Nations and Tour de France, and Canal+, which it provides OB facilities to cover Champions League and Europa League football matches.
SIS LIVE also provides ad-hoc satellite up-linking work for a number of broadcast customers. The new facility will allow the company to significantly expand its client base and the services it can provide. See: sislive.tv
