Henson & Richardson Join Bravo's Summer Line-Up

Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson is set to 'cheat death' this summer, with a brand new show for Bravo.
It will see him immerse himself in a death-defying experiment in front of an audience to include family and friends.
Human Guinea Pig (working title) is a 1 x 60 pop science pilot due to be made into a series later this year, which will see Henson put his faith in science and test his pain threshold to its very limits.
Daredevil scientist Greg Foot, a science junkie renowned for pushing the boundaries of extreme experiments, will demonstrate the very real jeopardy and danger using a variety of methods that would make even the bravest volunteer think twice. Ultimately unaware of what lies in wait, Henson will make his choice based solely on scientific research. Will he agree to be a human guinea pig and take up this potentially lethal challenge that will truly set him apart from the boys, or will common sense prevail?
Daniela Neumann, Director of Programmes for Bravo said: "Human Guinea Pig is like nothing anyone has seen before. This stand out commission will not only amaze viewers but it will surprise them. This is popular science the Bravo way. Gavin Henson is a sporting hero and we are thrilled that he is the star of our show."
In addition, renowned sports commentator James Richardson will help host the European Darts Championship which will be screened live on Bravo for the first time. Richardson will host all the action from the tournament this July in Dinslaken, Germany, which will see 32 stars battling for £200,000 in prize money in the third staging of the European Championship.
Richardson makes a welcome return to Bravo having previously presented the channel's exclusive Football Italia coverage of Serie A football in 2006/7.
Both new shows will be added to Bravo's new premium schedule this year, and will sit alongside critically-acclaimed US dramas Spartacus: Blood and Sand, season two of Sons of Anarchy and sexy new crime drama White Collar.
Dragonfly Film and Television Productions Ltd, (One Born Every Minute, Kill It, Cook It, Eat It) will produce Human Guinea Pig (working title) with Sarah Swingler as Executive Producer. The show has been commissioned by Mark Sammon, Head of Commissioning for Virgin Media Television.
The European Darts Championship partnership was negotiated between Bravo's Acquisitions Manager Ronan Hand and PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.
