Extreme International ventures into programme making

Extreme International have announced an expansion of their business with moves into programme making this autumn.
Three Travel and Adventure series, to be showcased at MIPCOM in Cannes during October, are currently being produced in conjunction with London-based Creative Touch Films, under the strand name 'Out There'.
The new series, entitled 'When Nature Calls', 'Tough at The Top' and 'Adventure Challenge' deal with inspiring and spectacular subjects including eco-tourism, expedition leadership in the wild and video-diary documentation of men and women during life-changing global adventures.
The shift to programme development has been initiated through sales success in the Travel and Adventure arena. 'The Running Man' travelogue programme has been acquired by Discovery Networks Europe, Voyage in France and Geo Planeta and Euskal Telebista in Spain, with Discovery optioning development of a second series. Discovery Latin America and the Outdoor Life Network USA also purchased the 'Destination Adventure' series and Viasat Explorer in Scandinavia made their first licensing agreement with Extreme International for 'The No Boundaries Experience', 'The Xterra Planet Show' and 'In The Folds of The Great Snake', the story of solo adventurer Mike Horn's swim along the length of the Amazon.
