Lewis Heads Into 120 Territories

ITV Studios Global Entertainment has announced international sales agreements for the primetime crime thriller Lewis with Germany's ZDF, Australia's Seven, Latin America's Pramer, Holland's KRO, Belgium's VRT, NBC's Hallmark channel in the Middle East and M-Net in Africa.
Around the world, Lewis is now watched in more than 120 territories, establishing the series as one of the UK's most successful television drama exports. The long-running drama launched this year in primetime in Germany on ZDF and on France 3.
Season Three premiered on ITV in the UK in the spring, where it rated Number One with a 30% share of all viewers.
Klaus Bassiner, Head Commissioning Editor of Drama at ZDF, said: "We premiered Lewis at 10pm in February, where it quickly increased our slot average and delivered a 16% share of all viewers. We are delighted to be confirming that Seasons Two and Three will be joining our schedules next year."
Tobi de Graaff, Director of Global TV Distribution at ITV Studios Global Entertainment, said: "This MIPCOM we will be launching a portfolio featuring the very best in new and returning drama commissions from around the world, including the brilliant Lewis and Marple, together with all-new thrillers Identity and The Prisoner, which is co-produced with AMC."
ITV Studios Global Entertainment recently announced that it will be launching five new primetime dramas at MIPCOM 2009, including Identity (ITV Studios) and The Prisoner (AMC and ITV Studios) along with six all-new seasons of the hugely popular and long-running series Agatha Christie's Marple and Agatha Christie's Poirot.
