Phipps to join Encoda’s automation solutions team

As part of a strategic drive to increase its presence further in EMEA and Asia Pacific Encoda Systems has announced the appointment of John Phipps as vice president of sales for these regions.
Phipps has more than 25 years' industry experience including senior posts as vice president of EMEA for Grass Valley Group and most recently as business development director at ARKEMEDIA Technologies, an emerging leader in digital media asset management solutions. The hire follows the addition of Steven L'Heureux as president, Automation Solutions and the appointment of Robin Adams to chief technology officer, Automation Solutions in July.
"As broadcasters around the world turn to automation to streamline their business practices and improve profitability, it is essential we have the right people in place to help our customers meet their goals," said Steven L'Heureux, president Encoda Automation Solutions. "John's years of experience, as well as his established relationships with leading technology providers, will prove invaluable in helping Encoda's customers in the EMEA & Asia Pacific regions."
Phipps comments: "Thanks to the strength and reliability of Encoda's products and their focus on customer support, the company's robust solutions appeal to major, multichannel players. I plan to expand Encoda's market presence significantly by taking these qualities and making them accessible to new markets through direct and indirect sales channels.
"I am particularly delighted to join the company at this exciting time in our industry and look forward to working with broadcast leaders around the world as they seek to leverage new business opportunities by deploying industry leading Encoda automation and asset management solutions," he added.
