Encoda Systems Automation Division select Marcotec as Polish representative

Encoda Systems Automation Division has selected Marcotec, which has served the Polish broadcasting industry for ten years, to serve as its local representation partner in Poland.
“Encoda Systems Automation Division offers customers reliable and cost-effective tools for managing and automating media assets based on solid hardware and software solutions,” explained Jacek Kadaj, managing director, Marcotec. “I am very proud to start representing the company and am looking forward to being able to offer our customers proven products from the leading company in the broadcast market.”
Marcotec will represent Encoda Systems D-Series automation and VeriStream monitoring solutions in Poland. Extensively tested to deliver mission critical reliability and frame accuracy, the Encoda D-Series Version 4 Automation Solution is based on open source, standards-based Linux version 2.6, an integrated open source database and non-proprietary hardware technology.
VeriStream from Encoda Systems Automation Division is an operational broadcast monitoring system designed to identify rapidly and correct possible failures and errors on transport streams on an entire network and specific channels through all stages of the transmission path. The product is designed for a multi-channel environment such as those found in cable head-ends or direct-to-home broadcast operations.
“The addition of Marcotec allows us to work with a proven supplier of products to the major broadcasters of Poland,” explained John Phipps, vice president of sales, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Encoda Systems Automation Division. “We will be able to draw on Marcotec’s extensive knowledge of the market and leverage our technology to create new solutions for their customers.”
