OBE switches playout to Advanced Broadcast Services |
|
Advanced Broadcast Services is now providing full playout service for Original Black Entertainment (OBE) a 24-hour satellite television channel aimed at African and Caribbean audiences.
Bernard Ampaw, Managing Director of OBE, said: “We were in a tricky situation. We needed a new playout company but I had to make sure that we didn’t lose any airtime. Because we broadcast 24/7 it was very tight. I spoke to Sass Jahani at Advanced Broadcast Services and he reassured me that he could take us on at very short notice and I am delighted with the result.”
Advanced Broadcast Services was able to take on the task and have everything up and running inside just two days, with no breaks or interruptions.
As well as playout, OBE is using Advanced Broadcast Services’ other services including the fully equipped studio and the facilities for Sky EPC scheduling.
Sass Jahani, Managing Director of Advanced Broadcast Services, said: “When Bernard asked us if we could take on his playout I was happy to accept. It was a challenge getting everything done in just two days but we have some of the most up-to-date playout facilities in the UK so we knew we could do it. We are also very experienced I working with Sky so we can help OBE with the EPC scheduling.”
