BRIDGE Technologies Signs Exclusive OEM Agreement With EXFO

BRIDGE Technologies, a leading provider of video quality monitoring solutions, announced that it has signed an original equipment manufacturing (OEM) agreement with EXFO Electro-Optical Engineering.
Under the agreement, EXFO becomes BRIDGE's exclusive triple-play service assurance partner and will integrate BRIDGE's line of IP video analysis, measurement and monitoring solutions into its BrixVision IPTV service assurance system.
Also, the companies will jointly develop and promote new technologies for end-to-end video quality monitoring targeted to telcos, multiple-service operators (MSOs), and satellite network operators.
As service providers expand their product offerings to include IP-based triple-play services, delivering the best possible user experience is essential, as subscribers expect flawless voice, video and data services. Ensuring such high-quality services requires 24/7 monitoring, which provides a complete picture of service quality across the network and helps providers troubleshoot issues before customers are affected or before truck rolls are required. A comprehensive service assurance solution helps reduce churn, increases customer satisfaction and provides a decided competitive advantage.
BRIDGE Technologies video monitoring and measurement probes will be integrated into EXFO's Brix System, a strategic active and passive service assurance platform for IP service and application quality. As part of the Brix System, the BRIDGE Technologies products will help EXFO deliver the most complete solution for end-to-end IP video service assurance for all types of IP video, including IPTV, streaming video, and over-the-top video, offering telcos and MSOs one system for assuring the quality of all triple-play services.
Kaynam Hedayat, CTO and Senior Director of Product Management at EXFO Service Assurance, said: "With this agreement, EXFO adds extra visibility into triple-play network quality. The Brix System delivers a single platform and a unified view for all of a service provider's IP traffic and it offers monitoring for both signalling and media, giving the provider a total view of the quality of its IP-based services including video, voice, data and mobile applications."
Simen Frostad, Chairman of BRIDGE Technologies, said: "BRIDGE Technologies provides a complete solution for monitoring end-to-end video quality in next-generation networks. The combined BRIDGE Technologies and EXFO solution will provide the most comprehensive system for end-to-end monitoring of the quality of triple-play networks."
