IPV Selects Shaf Broadcast To Support Growth For Browse Technology In India

IPV, a global leader and the largest independent supplier of low bit-rate, frame-accurate video technology to the broadcast and professional video sectors, has announced that it has appointed Shaf Broadcast, an established supplier of solutions to the digital content creation industry, to distribute the company's browse solutions to content owners in the Indian subcontinent.
As part of the distribution agreement, Shaf will promote key IPV products including the company's Curator system, a comprehensive, browse-based tapeless workflow media system which allows communities of media professionals add value to their content; and IPV's SpectreView, the de facto standard for browse resolution systems. SpectreView is already implemented by a large number of vendors of playout automation, newsrooms, asset management and access services around the world.
P.R. Suresh, Directr of Shaf Broadcast, said: "IPV has a substantial and well-deserved global reputation in the broadcast industry for the development and implementation of browse technology. The company's Curator system has enabled IPV to extend its reach into new markets and drive revenue directly from content owners. This comprehensive browse solution enables multiple users to access and share low resolution content - which is a huge benefit for the time-critical demands of such applications as news and sports."
Nigel Booth, EVP Sales and Marketing at IPV, said: "We are delighted to be working with Shaf Broadcast as their expert teams are well-versed in both broadcast and IT skills, while at the same time having extensive knowledge of the market in the Indian subcontinent.
"With Shaf's nationwide network of sales and support personnel, IPV will be able to grow its business in this emerging market."
