OmniBus strengthen US operations

UK-based OmniBus Systems, providers of comprehensive automation and asset management solutions, have announced the opening of their second US office, as well as several new executive appointments.
The company are to open new premises in Stamford, Connecticut, that will serve alongside the existing operation in California, providing sales, support and engineering services to OmniBus’ customer base across the US and Canada.
“Taking into account the time differences, the opening of the Connecticut office allows us to provide an advanced, round-the-clock service to broadcasters as well as improving communication links with Europe and our headquarters in the UK. It also allows us to support better East Coast Operations such as Time Warner Cable, CBS and NBC,” said Dr Sanjaya Addanki, Group Chief Executive Officer of OmniBus Systems.
“Working alongside the Nevada City operation, this allows the company to respond faster to the needs and concerns of our clients wherever they are located.”
OmniBus have also appointed three new executives to their top-tier management team.
Joining as Group Executive, Products, is Ashley Barretto, who brings 15 years of management experience in media industry software development to the company. Barretto will be based at, and will be the Senior Executive in charge of, the Connecticut office.
His knowledge of media sales and operations comes from developing traffic sales systems at CBS and InVision, and working with virtually every department within client stations and cable networks to develop seamless interfaces to external systems.
New Group Executive, Services, Ian Hardacre was formerly Technical Strategy Manager at ICL, where he led the marketing of the company’s networking products throughout Europe and their PC products across the world.
Hardacre has also held senior management positions with Oracle, Data Sciences, IBM Global Services, Logica, MarchFIRST and Dexterus. He will be based out of the OmniBus office in Windsor, UK.
David Parry-Jones, OmniBus’ new Group Executive, Sales, is a former sales director of the Lotus Development Corporation. Prior to joining OmniBus, Parry-Jones was VP Operations (EMEA) at Lazy Software, where he established a pan-European distribution channel and direct sales force in the UK. He will also be based out of the OmniBus office in Windsor.
“We are a global company and this new team has been assembled to service our substantial client base across the US and Canada, the growing North American market and our thriving operations in other parts of the world,” concluded Dr Addanki. “We will continue recruiting at VP and senior management levels as well as operational staff levels.”
