CVP-Mitcorp Expands Product Offerings

CVP-Mitcorp Group, a leading supplier of broadcast technology, has announced that it has expanded its product offerings to include Letus and Zacuto camera products.
The Letus35 range of camera lens adapters will be sold and distributed exclusively by CVP-Mitcorp in Europe. The Zacuto range of products are made in the US and feature the pioneering Universal Baseplate for Sony, Panasonic and Red cameras. At the heart of the Letus product range, creating the stunning effect, is the Shallow Depth of Field adapters which allows users with mid range cameras to achieve a similar picture/depth of field to that normally created when using high end video/film cameras. This adapter involves the concept of using a 35mm SLR still camera lens to project an image onto a translucent piece of moving glass. This projected image is then literally focused on by the DV or HDV camera and recorded. The Letus Extreme is priced at sub £1000 and for more demanding professionals the Letus Ultimate offers a more feature rich device for only £2995.
Hien Tule – Founder and CEO of Letus comments; "After meeting with many European dealers at NAB this year we decided on CVP-Mitcorp. The strength of product needed a major distributor with a track record in the camera market place. CVP-Mitcorp with its high traffic E-commerce site coupled with the in-house expertise of former cameramen meant it was the only choice. CVP-Mitcorp will offer training, support and maintenance Europe wide and this will allow Letus to expand the range spending more time on R&D for future products."
Zacuto offers a whole range of camera accessories for studio and location shooting that range from matte box rails to complete studio follow-focus systems. The US based company also provides bespoke systems tailored for the Letus range and bespoke accessories for the Red camera. One of its main products is the Universal Baseplate, the Z-lock a female receptacle slotted so as to clamp to a rod and tighten to it with a lever plus the Z-LWS, the first universal lightweight support plate to work on all Sony, Panasonic, JVC100/200 series and Canon XL series cameras and also works on Sony, Panasonic, Canon, JVC and Chrosziel tripod adapter plates. It has a built in adjustable double Z-Release that allows a person to mount Zamerican arms, ZUDS or 15mm rods.
"We are constantly searching for new products that will benefit our clients whether they are independent filmmakers to major broadcasters. Both of these companies offer innovative products that offer creative and practical benefits to the user and we are delighted to be able to offer them to our client base," comments Mark Forth, Managing Director, CVP-Mitcorp.
