Hawk-Woods To Launch Camera Adaptor For Sony PMW EX1 At IBC
Hawk-Woods have announced that they are to launch a camera adaptor for the Sony PMW EX1 camera at IBC2008.
The DV-EXA is a multifunctional camera battery adaptor, which is specifically designed for this popular camera. Giving two NP-F type battery fittings, it simply connects to the camera's battery port and provides power via the DC-in socket.
Power-Con (D-Tap) and Hirose sockets give the operator the opportunity to power on-board equipment such as an LED lamp or radio mic. These will provide a total power output of 6Amps/72 Watts. Both outputs are regulated to 12volts, while an additional mounting bracket allows radio mic holders to also be secured to the adaptor.
The EX1 camera has been one of the success stories of the past 18 months for Sony and this adaptor will be welcome news to the many that have bought it. Not only can you utilise an existing range of NP-F type batteries, but you can also now power additional equipment from an on-board device.
Hawk-Woods can be found on Stand G59 in Hall 11 at this year's IBC exhibition.
