Second Series Of 'Outnumbered' For BBC One

Filming has begun on a second series of 'Outnumbered', the comedy from Hat Trick Productions for BBC One.
It is said to capture family life in a way not seen before at all and is "most deliciously chaotic".
The first series was praised by critics and viewers alike for its freshness and its very natural evocation of the daily rollercoaster of family life with small children - a regal six-year-old with a talent for interrogation; an eight-year-old boy with a penchant for lying; and a lovelorn 12-year-old.
'Outnumbered' is a very recognisable celebration of parental incompetence, as a beleaguered mum and dad attempt to raise their kids with the minimum of emotional damage for all concerned.
The Press heaped praise on the show, with the 'Daily Express' proclaiming: "This new sitcom brilliantly captures the chaos of family life when children think they rules the roost."
Written by the creators of 'Drop The Dead Donkey', Guy Jenkin and Andy Hamilton - with elements of improvisation - 'Outnumbered' stars Hugh Dennis ('Mock The Week', 'The Now Show', 'My Hero'), Claire Skinner ('Sense And Sensibility', 'Lark Rise To Candleford', 'Life Begins') and Samantha Bond ('Die Another Day', 'Fanny Hill').
The series also stars David Ryall ('The League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse'), Tyger Drew-Honey ('The Armstrong & Miller Show'), Daniel Roche and Ramona Marquez.
'Outnumbered' is written, directed and produced by Andy Hamilton ('Trevor's World Of Sport', 'Bedtime') and Guy Jenkin ('Bike Squad', 'Crossing The Floor').
Lucy Lumsden, BBC Controller Comedy Commissioning, commissioned it. The Executive Producers are Jimmy Mulville for Hat Trick and Simon Wilson for the BBC.
