XL Video supply massive Siemens party

XL Video UK have supplied over 450 panels of Barco I-Lite 10 LED screen, their digital OB truck with full record for MTV, a twin engine helicopter, massive playback rig and 55 crew for a party at Billingsgate, London, hosted by production company Outer Sanctum on behalf of European telecomms giant Siemens.
The hi-energy, no-holds-barred show starred Shirley Bassey, Ms Dynamite, boyband Most Wanted & Christina Aguilera playing live. They were followed by Boy George and Xpress2 on the decks. It was attended by 1,300 invited guests including many A-list celebrities.
This slick and stylish amalgamation of the disciplines of rock ‘n’ roll and corporate presentation, is one of XL’s most ambitious projects to date.
The live camera mix was directed by Dick Carruthers. This was also recorded onto digi Beta and edited by Carruthers for a pan-European broadcast on MTV in the next week. A shortform video newsreel version was completed soon after the show, and distributed to the major international news agencies.
