Canal+ Sweden Installs SGL FlashNet

Software Generation Ltd (SGL), a leading provider of content archive and storage management software for media and entertainment, has announced that Canal+ Sweden has installed SGL FlashNet as a core element of its new digital asset management system.
Canal+, which broadcasts sports, movies and general entertainment programmes in Swedish to viewers across the country, will use SGL FlashNet to manage all offline content for transmission. The broadcaster's transmission is being controlled by Harris automation and playout servers, SGL FlashNet will provide the glue that allows Canal+ operators' access to the archive at all times.
