APT WorldNet Milana Used To Record Dubbing Session For L'Oreal Commercial

The APT WorldNet Milano was recently used to record an ADR session for L’Oreal Casting Crème Gloss with 2007 Oscar Nominee, Penelope Cruz.
The objective of the session, which took place at the Outlaw Sound Studios in Hollywood, was to overdub in Spanish a television commercial that was originally recorded in French.
Allen Roth, Owner and President of Outlaw Sound said: "Producers and advertising executives in Madrid were able to watch the picture in sync as Penelope read to picture from our studio in Hollywood. Audio Technicians at Serena Digital in Madrid recorded the audio real time, and in sync to picture. The device that made this possible was the APT WorldNet Milano with time code option."
Both Outlaw Sound and Serena Digital utilized the WorldNet Milano for the session which enabled them to connect on three of eight bonded ISDN lines, while the SMPTE time-code silently enabled audio to video synchronization. A 20k mono connection resulted in a 16-Bit studio quality digital audio feed. The exceptional audio quality (up to 24-Bit) and unparalleled delay of fewer than 2ms offered by the apt-X algorithm meant that the WorldNet Milano was the ideal choice for the session.
Roth added: "Senior Engineer, Frankie Harrison, oversaw all technical aspects of the session, as Roberta Greigo engineered for Outlaw Sound.
"Penelope's multiple language skills came in handy as the session quickly moved from English to Spanish. The session went very smoothly for both studios and Penelope was a joy to work with. The performance of the WorldNet Milano has been exceptional, and when service is required, the techs in the US and Belfast have been very helpful in finding a fix for any problems we have encountered."
"I first heard of APT in 1992 – only high end post houses were using APT, and I wanted to be compatible with them. My first system was the APT DSM-100 Codec with three Motorola Terminal adaptors which I installed in 1993.
"Outlaw Sound was one of the first users of APT in the United States and was the sixth site in Los Angeles. I followed that with the ProLink, and most recently added the WorldNet Milano in 2003."
Outlaw Sound, located in the heart of Hollywood California, is now in its twenty-fourth year of providing post-production audio services for the film, television, radio and music industries.
