Link Research Wins Queen's Award For Enterprise For International Trade

Link Research has been merited with the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise for International Trade.
It is a double celebration for Link Research as the company also won a Queen's Award for Technical Innovation in 2004 for the advanced encoding technology inside its LinkXP wireless camera system.
Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength and has expanded its product range, adding features like camera control and reverse video and a wide range of systems, antennas and accessories for all situations. Link launched a system for wireless High Definition TV in 2005 and this is in widespread use to cover events like the World Cup, Ryder Cup, Wimbledon, the Superbowl, NASCAR and the PGA Tour.
The award for International Trade recognises the company's outstanding success with exports in the three years preceding the award.
Link's systems have sold well in Europe, where several cities have installed 'Cellular' networks to support TV news cameras, giving broadcasters unprecedented flexibility and convenience in their news coverage at a considerable cost saving over traditional truck-based approaches.
American customers bought an exceptionally large number of wireless camera systems during 2006, which are mostly being used for live sports and news.
Link opened a sales office in Singapore in 2005 and is now working with partners in many of the Asian countries.
"We have to thank our overseas distributors for our success with exports," said John Mulcahy, Managing Director of Link Research. "Our partners recognised the commercial opportunity to sell our systems and put in the hard work to understand our products and demonstrate what they can do for their broadcasters. The superiority of our technology and the outstanding levels of customer service we provide have attracted a broad customer base throughout the world. We are very proud to receive this award."
The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are announced on the Queen's birthday each year and recognise outstanding achievement by British businesses.
