Broadcasters To Hold Career Day At NAB 2007

The NAB Education Foundation will host Career Day at NAB2007 in Las Vegas on April 18.
The event will feature a networking roundtable, career fair and broadcast career sessions. Industry professionals, students and entry-level job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with recruiters from top broadcast and media companies.
The career fair, held in conjunction with the Broadcast Education Association (BEA) and the Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) annual conventions, will highlight job opportunities in sales, news, production, and engineering.
Recruiting companies include Bonneville International Corp., Edge Technology, Emmis Communications, Entercom Communications, Freedom Broadcasting, Univision, CBS, Google, CNN/Turner Broadcasting Corp, Sony, Inc. and Tandberg Television.
"Promoting diversity and advancing opportunities for job seekers pursuing careers in broadcasting is a high priority for the NAB Education Foundation," said NAB President and CEO David Rehr. "The NABEF Career Fair is a 'must-attend' event for both job seekers and recruiters at NAB2007."
Admission is open to both registrants and non-registrants of NAB2007. Job seekers may register on-site.
For more information, recruiters and job seekers may contact Karen Hunter at [email protected] or log on to the NABEF Career Center online at www.nabef.org.
The career fair, made possible through the generous support of corporate sponsors Edge Technology, Emmis Communications, Sony, and Tandberg Television, is part of NABEF's commitment to promoting diversity in the broadcast workplace. In addition to the career fair, NABEF hosts an online Career Center where jobs in broadcasting are posted, as well as resumes from qualified applicants interested in radio and television.
The NAB Education Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the public interest in supporting and advocating: education and training programs, strategies to increase diversity, initiatives stressing the importance of the First Amendment, community service, philanthropy and other timely broadcasting issues.
