ESPN Argentina chooses Dayang Magic Wall

ESPN, Argentina's leading sports broadcaster, has chosen Dayang Magic Wall MW-4160 multi-channel monitor splitters for installation at its new studios in Buenos Aires.
The units were ordered following careful evaluation of equipment from other companies.
Ernesto Araoz, Dayang's Director of Sales & Marketing, Latin America, said: "Dayang's Magic Wall monitor splitters were selected for their high signal quality and broad supporting feature set. Each multiplexer has DVI and VGA outputs with integral de-interlacing which allows each processor to feed a second array at an adjacent desk or in a separate suite. The Magic Wall processors will be integrated into two new control rooms, enabling up to 16 channels to be viewed on a single flat-panel display screen. ESPN Latin America commenced operations in 1989 and is now part of a group of Spanish-language broadcasters including ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes."
Designed to replace bulky and power-hungry CRT stacks in broadcast master control rooms or presentation suites, each Dayang MagicWall offers studio installers the option of positioning monitor arrays immediately behind a desk, enabling channel supervisors to see a precise view of the multiple programme feeds plus accompanying data on a space-saving single screen.
A powerful auto-alert system is incorporated, including continuous monitoring of video blackburst as well as warning of frozen-image, lost video/audio and lost logo. Channel supervisors or control room staff are able to select text-based or audible alarms, create their own maintenance task schedules and perform log management. An integral under-monitor display automatically prompts for a channel identifier. The Magic Wall multiplexer also incorporates a hard disk recording facility which enables all incoming channels to be archived at full resolution or at compressed browse-quality."
