QUANTEL iQ DOWN UNDER
NEWLY formed Australia based facility, Spool Media have placed an order for a Quantel iQ and Editbox FX at IBC 2000.
Spool Media are in the process of building a multi-resolution video and film post production house capable of covering every aspect of the post process. The Editbox will be installed in October, and the iQ in February 2001.
While the company is new, the people behind Spool Media have many years experience in the television and film industry.
Spool Head of Operations Peter Flynn said: “iQ gives us non-linear HD editing at SD speeds, and its gigabit Ethernet connectivity means that we can efficiently distribute different aspects of a job to the most appropriate resources within the facility.”
Spool are also looking towards the digital film market and they see iQ playing a central role in the editing process.
