Future Pixel Farm product releases to support Intel Macs
The Pixel Farm, a company focused on innovation in the field of high-end digital postproduction, is pleased to announce the transition of its technologies to the new Intel based Mac platform.
The forthcoming release of PFTrack 3.5, the companies’ market leading 3D Match Moving and analysis system, will be the first ‘MacTel’ application from The Pixel Farm, with others following as new releases appear.
“We have been working for some time to transition our entire code base to the new Apple Intel hardware.” Mike Lancaster, Product Director, The Pixel Farm, commented. “And now all Pixel Farm products can run across all [currently available] Apple hardware. We found the transition very easy and are fully committed to working with Apple on some really exciting new applications over the next year.”
The Pixel Farm already provides optimised G5 versions of its software and can now offer Intel versions that will fully exploit the new hardware. By providing optimised builds for individual platforms, the maximum performance can be gained by exploiting the strengths of specific hardware.
