FOR-A to launch 16-channel multi-viewer

FOR-A, a leading manufacturer of video and audio systems for the broadcast and professional video industries, is to introduce the latest member of its MV series, the MV-16S 16-channel, multi-viewer at NAB 2006 (stand C3210).
The MV-16S supports analogue composite and SD-SDI mixed inputs.
The viewer can be set to divide the screen in many ways, such as 4, 5+1, 8+1, 9, 12, 12+1 or 16 sections, enabling the combination of small and large images. An optional UXGA or DVI output is available, which is well-suited for displays on large-sized screens.
The optional layout software offers total flexibility to users to size and position any of the 16 inputs. The MV-16S also accepts asynchronous mixed input of analogue composite and SD-SDI signals, and it is NTSC and PAL compatible (auto detect).
Key features of the MV-16S include:
•Mixed input of analogue composite and SD-SDI signals supported;
•4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio supported;
•SD-SDI input embedded audio (eight channels) level display function;
•SD-SDI and VGA video outputs for divided images;
•Positioning of input images in any division frames enabled;
•Video loss detection;
•Tally and title displays;
•Embedded audio signal pass-through function.
