SNELL WINS BKSTS PRESIDENT'S AWARD
The British Kinematograph Sound and Television Society (BKSTS) have presented their President’s Award to Roderick Snell, Founder, Research Director and President of Snell & Wilcox.
The award, given for outstanding technical or artistic contributions to the industry, recognises Snell's achievements in improving worldwide video standards for more than 25 years.
BKSTS President, Lawrie Reed, said: "Roderick Snell, through his company, Snell & Wilcox, has played a leading role in the expanding image communications industry. His recognition by the society acknowledges his outstanding service to the film and television industries. Roderick has pioneered many technical developments which the industry as it exists today could not be without."
Snell accepted the award at the society's annual luncheon at the Players Theatre in London.
Snell has worked in the industry for more than 30 years as an inventor, teacher, author, broadcast engineer, international consultant and manufacturer.
