Clear Cut Pictures make the grade
After extensive testing of various systems from five manufacturers, Clear Cut Pictures, one of London’s leading post-production companies, has purchased an Edifis f/stop grading and finishing system.
f/stop is used to colour correct and create 2k, HD, PAL and NTSC deliverables from a DPX file stream or single HD/SD edit-master.
Simon Astbury, Head of Grading at Clear Cut Pictures, explained some of the reasons that prompted them to select f/stop. He said: “We have been considering establishing our own dedicated grading facility for some time now. After an extensive and thorough evaluation of the marketplace, we decided that Edifis f/stop was the best solution to meet our current and future plans. Its many creative tools can be applied equally to feature films, high-end drama as well as documentaries and factual. F-stop will allow us to offer a full range of HD and 2K post solutions.”
