LONG SHOTS, the University of Glasgow Film Festival, are seeking new short films for February's festival to be held at the Gilmorehill Centre in Glasgow.
A selection of the best films made by students and young filmmakers from across the country will be shown on four consecutive nights and awards will be presented on the final night to the winners in the categories of Best Animation, Best Documentary, Best Experimental, Best Glasgow Film and Best Narrative.
The deadline for entries is January 12, 2001. All those interested in entering films should download an application form from the Long Shots website at www.longshots.cjb.net and post their entries along with the appropriate fee to Kirsten Phimister, Long Shots Film Festival, Gilmorehill Centre University Avenue, Glasgow, G12 8QQ.
The Gilmorehill Centre features a 130-seat cinema and seminar facilities. As in previous years, the screenings, workshops and seminars will form the core events of the festival.
