TSL unveil latest TallyMan system features

TSL has unveiled the latest developments in tally and UMD system design with the launch of two new, single-box versions of its groundbreaking system TallyMan.
TSL is now offering TallyMan as standard to replace WinSoft in an even wider variety of configurations including a new low-cost, entry level configuration. TallyMan is now available in both 1RU and 2RU self-contained controllers, respectively the TM1 and TM2. The new controllers, which run TallyMan as an embedded real-time application, allow far greater connectivity and flexibility straight out of the box. Each controller offers power for the UMDs, serial ports to integrate with multiviewers, routers, vision mixers and alarm systems and parallel connections for tally input and output.
With the growing complexity of typical broadcast systems and the increasing need for customer-controlled reconfiguration, TallyMan enables the user to interface any third party hardware such as routers, vision mixers, multiviewers and alarm systems and allows easy ongoing reconfiguration of the tally and UMD system as required.
With upwards of 200 third party drivers available within TallyMan out-of-the-box, and more available for download as required, flexibility is built in. Furthermore TallyMan now offers much more than just UMD and Tally management.
On the display side TallyMan supports any combination of CRTs using standard UMD’s, smaller flat panel displays via the new TSL IMD display modules and the widest rage of multiviewers. It also allows the easy use of router database source and destination names or mnemonics from a wide variety of manufacturers.
TSL also offers additional expansion and redundancy options via the ESP-1 Port Expander, CTD-1 Cue Tally Distributor and PSU-22 Power Supply Expander for larger systems. These items can be added at any time.
Additionally, TSL is also offering a new, five-year support package option that provides comprehensive ongoing support for third party systems peripherals such as routers, multiviewers, vision mixers and alarm systems as they change in the future. TSL will also continue to offer its industry-standard UMD protocol free of charge to manufacturers of third party systems.
