MORE PROGRAMMES FOR ONDIGITAL

News Image
ONDIGITAL have announced that Nickelodeon and Paramount will be showing more top comedy and children’s television programmes.
Viewers will be able to watch a line up of popular entertainment including the first run of the new series of ‘3rd Rock from the Sun’, and the comedy programme ‘Frasier’.
The Paramount Comedy Channel will show new episodes of ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’, ‘Rugrats’ and the UK premiere of a brand new nick toon from the creators of ‘Rugrats’ called ‘As Told By Ginger’. ‘Renton Rejects’ will also be shown on Nickelodeon.
Many shows that will be aired on these two channels will be exclusive to Paramount and Nickelodeon and a lot of these will be first runs providing both original and stimulating content for adults and children alike.
Stuart Prebble, ONdigital's Chief Executive, said: "With the arrival of Nickelodeon and the Paramount Comedy Channel, ONdigital can now claim to have all the most important - and the most watched - pay TV channels on its platform. We're delighted to be able to bring our customers yet more of the very best TV.”
Paramount and Nickelodeon will join ONdigital’s primary channel line up which includes UK Gold, MTV, Sky One, Cartoon Network and British Eurosport. The new channel E4 will also join the line up from January 18.
ONdigital will also bring a choice of premium channels, including Sky Sports 1,2 and 3 with their coverage of the Premier League and other top sports.
From next year ONdigital's own sports channel will show live coverage of the UEFA Champions League, the Nationwide League and the Worthington Cup as well as the Tennis Masters Series.
However, ONdigital have been reported to be under pressure to increase their capacity for channels as the future of their pay-per-view film service, On Request, comes under scrutiny.
ONdigital have not yet confirmed whether a deal with Channel 5, whereby ONdigital leases the space they need to operate On Request, will continue beyond next year. (CD)
