Mentor XL now available at Trilogy

Trilogy Broadcast Ltd. has announced it will shortly commence deliveries of the all new Mentor XL sync and test generators.
The company established an enviable reputation for functionality and reliability with Mentor and MentorPlus and the arrival of the new unit is attracting high expectations.
Roger Stanwell, Trilogy's Commercial Director, commented: "Mentor is a great product for us and we knew that the growing requirement for HD exceeded the processing capacity of the existing unit. We therefore set out to design a new, much more powerful unit that has plenty of capacity to handle any future requirement. Many of the options for MentorXL will be enabled by software key, enabling customers to upgrade their units over the web. This means that extra functionality can be purchased just when you need it, which has positive benefits for customers cashflow"
The company has already taken more than twenty advance orders that will be delivered in Q3/Q4 and a strong demand is expected. Trilogy showed a pre prototype unit at IBC 2004 and then conducted market research with several system Integrators and end customers to check that specifications would match user needs. The resulting feedback led to several changes to ensure that Mentor XL continues Trilogy's strong position in the UK market.
Further announcements on facilities and expansions to the range will be made over the coming months.
