Software remote control facilitates lower system costs
Ultimatte have announced that their Virtual Control Panel, a software user interface for the remote operation and adjustment of Ultimatte's real-time digital video product line, is now shipping.
Formally introduced at IBC 2002, this software utility means a dedicated hardware control panel is no longer required to operate the unit, saving the customer as much as 25% of the total system purchase price.
The Virtual Control Panel is supported by any Windows 2000 based PC and provides complete remote access to all the menus and functions of the Ultimatte 9, Ultimatte 400, and Ultimatte HD compositing systems.
All Ultimatte systems will include the software as part of the purchase, and customers will have the choice of upgrading to the dedicated hardware controller as an option.
