TEKTRONIX LAUNCH NEW PICTURE QUALITY ANALYSER

TEKTRONIX have launched their new product Tektronix PQA300.
The new Picture Quality Analyser, based on the Emmy award-winning PQA200 is a single channel analysis system that provides complete in-depth picture quality analysis. The product provides frame-by-frame results which are shown through multiple charts, displays, difference maps for identification, tabulation, analysis, and archive of results.
Bob Agnes, Vice president of Video Business Unit Tektronix, said: “Tektronix realises that video content providers need objective, repeatable picture quality test measurements to help maintain and improve their broadcast quality and ultimately protect their business revenue.

The new PQA300 will enable those in video broadcast content verification to quickly, automatically, and objectively measure the quality of video images.”
The PQA300 package is suitable for customers who currently deal with subjective testing of video content. It comes in a compact platform for desktop and rack applications and is available with a new optional integrated touch-screen display.
PQA300 measurements can be used for video quality benchmarking prior to the video being broadcast on a network. Its full reference video analysis capability makes it ideal for video content verification for broadcast and R&D applications.
